Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: August 14, 2026
Welcome to Instafit Clothing Alterations. By accessing our website or using our clothing alteration services, you agree to comply with the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our services.
1. About Our Services
Instafit Clothing Alterations provides professional clothing alteration, adjustment, repair, and related tailoring services.
Services may include, but are not limited to:
- Clothing alterations
- Garment adjustments
- Repairs and modifications
- Fitting services
- Zip and fastening repairs
- Hemming and shortening
- Resizing and fitting adjustments
The availability of a particular service will depend on the garment, its condition, fabric, construction, and the alteration requested.
2. Service Enquiries and Quotes
Any quotation provided by Instafit is based on the information available at the time of assessment.
The final price may vary after the garment has been physically inspected, particularly where:
- Additional work is required
- The garment requires specialist handling
- The fabric or construction creates additional difficulty
- The requested alteration changes after the initial assessment
We will communicate any significant changes to the agreed price where reasonably possible before carrying out additional work.
3. Garment Assessment
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information about the requested alterations.
Before accepting a garment, we may assess its:
- Fabric and material
- Construction and stitching
- Existing condition
- Previous alterations
- Suitability for the requested alteration
We reserve the right to decline an alteration where we reasonably believe that the requested work may damage the garment or result in an unsatisfactory outcome.
4. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for:
- Providing accurate alteration instructions
- Communicating any specific fitting requirements
- Informing us of previous alterations or repairs
- Checking measurements and fitting requirements where requested
- Collecting garments within the agreed collection period
Customers should ensure that garments are free from personal belongings before handing them over to us.
5. Fittings and Measurements
Measurements and fitting requirements are an important part of the alteration process.
Customers may be required to attend a fitting or provide measurements where necessary. While we take reasonable care when measuring and altering garments, the final fit can also be affected by garment design, fabric characteristics, body movement, and the original construction of the garment.
6. Completion Times
We will provide an estimated completion or collection date where possible.
Completion times may vary depending on:
- The type and complexity of the alteration
- The number of garments being processed
- Availability of materials
- Additional work discovered during assessment
- Circumstances outside our reasonable control
Any quoted completion date should therefore be considered an estimate unless expressly confirmed as guaranteed.
7. Garment Collection
Customers are responsible for collecting completed garments within the agreed collection period.
Please retain any receipt, collection confirmation, or other relevant documentation provided by Instafit.
If a garment remains uncollected for an extended period, we may contact the customer using the contact information provided.
8. Payment
Payment is due according to the payment terms communicated at the time of booking or service.
Where a deposit or advance payment is required, work may not begin until the required payment has been received.
Additional charges may apply where the scope of work changes or additional alterations are requested.
9. Alteration Results
We will carry out alteration work with reasonable care and professional skill.
However, we cannot guarantee that every requested alteration will produce an identical result to a new or originally manufactured garment. Certain fabrics, designs, stitching patterns, previous alterations, or garment conditions may affect the final appearance or fit.
10. Existing Damage and Garment Condition
Customers should inform us of any existing damage, weakness, stains, tears, previous repairs, or other issues with a garment before alteration.
We are not responsible for pre-existing damage or defects that become apparent during the alteration process.
If we identify a significant risk before beginning work, we may discuss the issue with the customer or decline to proceed.
11. Cancellations and Changes
If you need to cancel or change an alteration request, please contact us as soon as possible.
Once work has started, cancellation may not be possible and charges may apply for work already completed, materials used, or services already provided.
12. Complaints and Alteration Issues
If you are unhappy with an alteration, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible after receiving the garment.
We will review the issue and, where appropriate, may offer a reasonable correction or adjustment.
Any concerns should be raised before the garment is significantly worn, modified, washed, or otherwise altered after collection.
